Ask PathologyLabTraining

The chat button in the bottom-right corner of most pages opens Ask PathologyLabTraining, an AI assistant that answers from these help articles. It is the fastest way to get an answer about how the platform works.

What it can answer

• How to find or use a feature ("How do I take a Practice Test?")
• Where something lives ("Where is my CPD log?")
• Account, pricing and organisation questions covered in the help centre
• Page-aware suggestions: on a specialty page it offers questions about that specialty's tools

Every answer links to the help articles it drew on, so you can read the full detail.

What it cannot do

• It cannot see your account, your results or your billing, so it cannot tell you why a payment failed or change anything for you.
• It answers only from the help articles. If a question is outside them, it says so and points you to [email protected].
• It is not a clinical or exam-marking tool. For practising interview answers use the AI Interview Coach.

Using it

1. Click the chat button, or the Ask a question button in the "Need help?" section of your home page.
2. Type your question, or pick one of the suggested questions.
3. Use the thumbs up or down on an answer to tell us whether it helped.
4. Click New to start a fresh conversation, or Browse all to open the help centre.

Where it is hidden

The assistant does not appear during a Practice Test or the Interview Practice page, so it cannot distract you, and it is not shown on the login, registration, password reset or administration pages.

What is recorded

When you ask a question we keep a one-way hash of the question, its length, which help articles were used, whether the answer said a person was needed, your feedback, and your user ID if you were signed in. We do not keep the text of your question. See Your data and GDPR rights.

Accessibility

The chat can be used entirely from the keyboard, and new answers are announced to screen readers without moving your focus.
